Load It Up http://www.businesscasualcomic.com/index.php?date=20120514 After writing this comic, I immediately started wondering how much weight an actual server could hold before it would collapse. Is it in the thousands or is it closer to the 300 that I arbitrarily threw into today\'s comic? If someone feels like experimenting with their servers at work, let me know the results of your findings.

Return Of The Robbers, The End http://www.businesscasualcomic.com/index.php?date=20120509 Want to read the whole story from the beginning? Click here.

So now that the story is out of the way, what\'s next on the schedule for Business Casual? Well, in addition to the usual three comics per week, I have two main projects that I want to finish before the end of the year.

The first is to give the site an update. I still like the overall look and feel of the site, but one thing I can\'t stand is how hard it is to find a particular comic. When I wrote the site, I was proud that I came up with a system that didn\'t rely on database entries to display each new comic. Now, though, I\'m starting to realize the error of my ways. Beyond just giving a descriptive title for each comic, moving to a database will give me the ability to tag each strip and open up more sharing/commenting options.

The other project that I want to do is prepare a second book. While I was somewhat pleased with the first book that I put out, the quality didn\'t turn out as good as I thought it could be. So for the next volume, instead of the 108 pages and 200 plus comics that the first book contained, I\'m thinking of ramping up to around 120-150 pages and putting in closer to 350-400 comics. I\'m also planning on switching printers. Sadly, the book will cost more, but I think it\'ll be worth it for the higher quality product. I\'m also thinking of offering it as an eBook, but that\'s something I still need to research further.

Return Of The Robbers, Part 12 http://www.businesscasualcomic.com/index.php?date=20120504 You know, after drawing all of the action shots over the last couple of strips, I\'ll be kinda glad to get back to drawing two people sitting at a table talking. It\'s was fun to go outside of my comfort zone for this story, but it also takes me a lot longer to create these strips. As for today\'s comic, I\'m not entirely happy with the third panel in today\'s strip, but the CHOMP! panel came out better than I expected so I\'m pleased with the overall result.

I\'m wrapping things up with this storyline next week, and then Business Casual will be going back to the regular office setting for a while. We will then return to our regularly scheduled snarky jokes about business and office life.

Return Of The Robbers, Part 11 http://www.businesscasualcomic.com/index.php?date=20120502 What\'s the sound effect that you would use for Frank\'s super crotch kick? I\'ve got THUMP in there now, but I think there\'s a better one out there somewhere. I haven\'t used a lot of sound effects in Business Casual before, but then again, I\'ve not used many action shots either. I\'m more comfortable in the realm of two people sitting at a desk/table and talking so this strip was a bit of a departure for me. Hope everyone is enjoying the story so far.

Return Of The Robbers, Part 10 http://www.businesscasualcomic.com/index.php?date=20120430 This is by far the most dramatic panel I\'ve drawn for Business Casual. In an office and technology humor comic, there\'s usually not a lot of call for high action. I can\'t say that I\'ve ever fought off a pack of thieves or marauders in my day-to-day job over the last decade plus of my professional career. But maybe I\'ve just not found the right place yet.

SpringCon is just a few weeks away, and I\'m busy gathering some things together for the show. I\'ll be doing commissioned sketches again at the convention, and if anyone has a request that they would like for me to do, drop me a line, and I can have it ready for you at the convention. Other than SpringCon, I don\'t have any concrete plans for conventions this year. If invited, I\'m sure that I\'ll do the other MCBA Microcon event in the fall, but it\'s hit-or-miss on getting a table reserved there.

When writing this strip, I did hesitate a bit to use the ring that I did as the gag. It does date me a bit, and there\'s even been four additional Karate Kid movies since the Daniel-san\'s original adventure. But, really, what could Pete be embarrassed about more than his love of cheesy teen comedy/romance/action movies from the 80\'s?
